Julia Toscano is Campaign Co-Director of the San Francisco Living Wage Coalition. Her work focuses on advancing economic and social justice and bringing people together around campaigns that promote fairness, dignity, and workers a living wage. She directed and produced The San Francisco Living Wage Coalition Documentary (2026), which received the Impact Award at the 7^th annual Social and Economic Justice Film Festival in San Francisco in July 2026. In 2024, she produced the Allies for Justice podcast, hosting conversations about movements, advocacy, and economic change.

Her community organizing work includes co-organizing the Social and Economic Justice Music Festival in San Francisco and organizing a Fair Trade 5K in 2025. In 2025, she also co-organized a local legislative action and rally that led the San Francisco Board of Supervisors to unanimously pass a resolution urging Congress and California’s federal delegation to protect people with Temporary Protected Status (TPS), extend their temporary status, and establish permanent residency. She also co-wrote a public comment from the San Francisco Living Wage Coalition submitted to the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), urging Congress to hold major corporations accountable for labor and human rights violations at factories in Mexico, ahead of the 2026 United States-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement joint review.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from San Francisco State University. She brings a collaborative approach to her work and is passionate about building stronger communities and amplifying workers’ voices. A strong supporter of unions and collective bargaining, Julia believes that showing up at union picket lines and strikes in solidarity is an important way to support workers, strengthen labor movements, and stand alongside people fighting for fair wages, safe workplaces, dignity, and economic justice.
