Maria Stoianova (Ma, Above the Styx, The Second Wave) and Piotr Armianovski (Mustard in the gardens, Me and Mariupol, People’s Museum of Avdiivka) are Kyiv-based independent documentary filmmakers. Maria has a background in Social Anthropology, while Piotr in Computer Sciences. Both work with, among others, the topic of human rights. They collaborated for the first time and made a trip to the United States to make the short film about food security for the Ukrainian TV station.
